- Answer Shalum I am not a 100% sure my wife son in law installed it for us but I would say yes because it needs to be plugged in as it is an electric dishwasher hope this help blessings!

QuestionHello, Can this be a freestanding dishwasher? It would be sitting alone without a counter or cabinets next to it. Would that be an option for this dishwasher? If not, what is a good dishwasher option.

- Answer Hello, we can only recommend model ADFS2524RW be installed per the Installation Instructions. There are no side panels on this model. We would recommend a portable dishwasher if you are needing this option. Thank you for your inquiry on our Amana appliances.
