QuestionI bought am Amana set model lw2501 in 1995. It has been wonderful. No problems. Just this week it has been leaking underneath so I think it's time for a newer model. This has given me MANY YRS of washing. What Amana washer is like my old model?

- Answer This particular machine has a sensor and determines for itself how much water it needs. I would suggest a different washing machine if you have to add water manually or possibly invest in a tank you could fill and connect to the washing machine and let gravity handle the fill situation.

- Answer I AM ABLE TO FIT MY QUEEN SIZED COMFORTER AND BED SHEETS IN THIS WASHER AND IT CLEANS THEM PRETTY GOOD. I WAS EVEN ABLE TO WASH MY BED PILLOWS AND THROW PILLOWS FROM MY COUCH. IT CAN FIT QUITE A BIT. YOU JUST HAVE TO SET IT TO BULKY SETTING. THE AUTO WATER LEVEL SENSOR DID FILL IT TO THE PROPER LEVEL SO THAT MY BEDDING MATERIALS CAME OUT NICELY WASHED. :) NO MORE GOING TO THE LAUNDRY MAT FOR ME JUST TO WASH LARGE COMFORTERS AND PILLOWS. I WAS ABLE TO FIT A WHOLE WEEKS WORTH OF COLORED CLOTHES IN ONE WASH. IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT THREE TO FOUR WASHES FOR ME TO DO ALL MY LAUNDRY FOR THE WEEK. THIS INCLUDES BLANKETS PILLOWS, AREA RUGS, BEDDING (ALL IF NEEDED) ETC. IF THIS IS WHAT YOU MEAN BY HEAVY DUTY THEN I GUESS YES. BUT I DO LIVE ON MY OWN WITH NO EXTRA PERSON'S LAUNDRY SOO... I GUESS YOU'LL HAVE TO TAKE OTHER PEOPLE'S LAUNDRY LOADS INTO CONSIDERATION

QuestionI have the ntw4516fw3 version and I noticed that the center agitator rotates back and forth very slowly. It doesn't seem to pull down the clothes floating on top very well. Is it supposed to rotate so slowly? Thanks.

QuestionI have an Amana Washer (Model: NTW4516FW3) & it will not go thru the cycles. It goes to wash and no further. If i want to rinse clothes or finish a cycle i have to do it by turning the knob. Is there a fix for this?

- Answer Unfortunately I have had the same issues with 2 machines. The repair guy comes out and in less than a week it starts up again. Don't buy whirlpool or amana. They are same company and same problem and they know there is an issue. Keep turning the knobs that's all you can do. SORRY
