Hello! It is normal for wall ovens and ranges to get hot on the outside. Depending on where the vents are located, it will determine which areas get hotter. While you should be able to touch the outside of the range, we would not recommend keeping your hands on the unit. Thank you for your inquiry about our Amana appliances.
