Hi akgal as a best practice we do not suggest the freezer be installed on top of carpet. That said, we do not have a restriction where we would say No to setting one up on carpet. The most important location note has to do with the floor being able to support the weight of the fully loaded freezer and proper air circulation. The AQC0701GRW does have leveling legs
