It is app and subscription based. I used YouTube tv. If you don’t want a subscription you can at a digital antenna

Local channel availability will vary by area of course. There are also a wide range of streaming versions of local services such as Peacock for NBC or Paramount Plus for CBS that would require a subscription through those services. Also select cable services such as Comcast have apps available to utilize their cable services through. ESPN is available as an app to download to this TV but would either require a cable service subscription or separate ESPN+ subscription. There are quite a few options available to you.
