Hello em! This TV would work with whatever receiver box you would be using from DirecTV if you subscribe to their traditional satellite service through an HDMI cable. If you are a DirecTV Stream customer, the app for this service is also available for download from the Appstore simply by pressing and holding the Alexa Voice button on your Alexa Voice remote and asking Alexa "Open DirecTV Stream".
