“I cannot get my Echo Alexa set up to work Don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Can any one help me. I hate to take it back to Best buy”

Have you downloaded the Alexa app to your phone? This is the best way to start setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plug the unit in. You will see blue lights and then an orange ring. Do not worry about that just let unit go dark. Go to your Alexa App hit settings choose your product and it will give you instructions. What I do Is at that point hold down the button to the right which is just a dot till it turns orange, again the app will give you more instructions just hit the settings button on your device ( phone, ipad, etc. ) go to wireless and find your amazon echo and press it. At that point it should connect. Instructions from that point are simple. You will go back to settings on your device once Alexa tells you are connected and hit your own wifi. Real simple. If you keep having problems it will be the unit. Just take it back and get a new one..... Hope this helped. Enjoy it.
