“Bought a house that came with a very cool set up of built-in speakers (inside and out) but can only play tapes or listen to fuzzy FM radio. Would this essentially make that old thing “smart” and controllable remotely at least?”

So I used it for this reason. I was able to connect it to the amplifier and use a dot to stream music
