Yes as long as it’s tied into your personal account or if his show is part of a family account. You can simply drop in on the device from your own show, phone or pc.

The Amazon echo show 21 has a "drop-in feature" where you can essentially face time call your father through the Alexa App. Your father has to accept the video call and the viewing angle is based on where the device is placed.
