• If they have a smart phone (Android or Apple) they can download the Alexa app and use it instead of an actual Alexa device. Example - if you had a Show 5 (or 10 or Spot model) and wanted to video chat with someone, all they need is a smart phone and Alexa app and it would work that way, too.

• Yes. Also my friend can call or video chat from her iPhone. Hope that helps
