Q: QuestionDoes this device have to stay plugged into the outlet to have power or does it hold a charge and can be moved around without being plugged into an outlet?

Q: QuestionGood morning! The Echo Show 8 3rd will work in Brazil and it is possible change the Alexa's language to portuguese? Because here we have got just the 2rd generation. Thanks in advance!

• A:Answer Hi there! The Echo Show 8 3rd Generation should work just fine in Brazil, though you may need a different power adapter than the one that is included with the US version of the device. You'll still be limited to the normal services and features of an Alexa enabled device operating in Brazil though. Alexa definitely speaks Portuguese though, so no worries there. Q: QuestionI just received my 8" echo show. It's my 3rd echo show device. The set up on the new one was a little strange but, I have it set up & working. My problem is, the clock is one hour fast & I can't get it to change. I do have the time zone setup as EST NY

Time discrepancies can be frustrating, Here are a few things to try. Double-check the time zone: Even though you've set it to EST NY, try resetting it: Say "Alexa, open settings" Go to "Device Options" > "Date & Time" Ensure "Automatic Time Zone" is enabled If it is, try turning it off and manually selecting "Eastern Time (US & Canada)" Sync the time: Say "Alexa, sync my device" This should force the device to update its time from Amazon's servers Restart your Echo Show: Unplug the device from power for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in Check your Amazon account settings: Go to the Alexa app on your smartphone Tap on "Devices" > "Echo & Alexa" > select your new Echo Show Check the device settings to ensure the correct time zone is set Update your Echo Show: Say "Alexa, check for software updates" If an update is available, install it I hope these steps get help. Here’s how to set up multiple speakers to configure them for multi-room playback. Your first step is to set up the devices. Open the Alexa app and tap the Devices icon at the bottom. Select the plus (+) button in the top-right corner and then tap Add Device. Once the devices are set up you can click on the combine speakers or create a new group option on the top of the page. • A:Answer Hello Ronnie, The Echo Show 8 will not display in the Ring Camera App. The Alexa app will display all of your Amazon Devices however. So you will be able to view your Ring Camera's in the Alexa App, as well as access the Echo Show 8 camera from the app as well. The Echo show 8 will also display up to 4 Ring Cameras on it's screen once it's been integrated in to your system. Have a great day!

You can view your Ring camera feeds directly on the Echo Show 8's display and even communicate with visitors through two-way talk if your Ring device supports that feature. To set this up: Ensure both devices are connected to your home network Open the Alexa app Go to Devices Add your Ring cameras if you haven't already Once connected, you can say commands like "Alexa, show me the front door" to view your Ring camera feed You can also set up motion alerts from your Ring cameras to appear on your Echo Show 8's screen automatically. • A:Answer Hi AZ! The easiest way to pull up recipes on the Echo Show 8 is to ask Alexa! Not only can Alexa display recipes, she can walk you through preparation, and you can easily send an ingredient list to your Alexa app to help with the shopping. If you have a particular recipe you'd like to see on the screen, it might be easier to use the built-in browser to pull it up. Just ask Alexa to open the web browser. There are also some skills you can enable that will let you manage recipes with your phone, so I'd look around online to see if your favorite recipe source has an Alexa skill.
