• It has groove where it gets attached. There's instructions. However, it's very flimsy

• The lug on the stand friction fits into the recess on the Echo Show device.

• It justs sits on top...the bump on the top of the stand fits in the slot in the bottom of the echo. It does not stay attached when you pick it up.

• The ES8 we own does NOT attach magnetically. There is not a recess in the bottom of the ES8 either. The magnetic stand we bought (8 magnets) is worthless for our device. There must have been some design changes in ES8 at some point.
