- Answer Hello, you will need a smart phone or tablet to complete the initial setup. Once the device is set up and connected to the internet you will no longer need the smart phone or tablet. All he will have to do is say; "Alexa, call [your name]." You will then be able to answer from your Alexa App. Hope that helps, have a great day!

QuestionCan you eventually add more blink cameras to the echo show? Or is it just 1 camera per show

- Answer Hello Catbleu, I understand you are interested in knowing if you can viewing more than one Blink camera on your Echo Show 8. You are able to view many cameras one at a time with your Echo Show 8, as the name of each camera will be different. You'll just ask the Echo Show 8 to show you the camera you want to look at. - Answer Hello BeeDee! Unfortunately no, The Echo Show 8 is not an Apple product so it cannot plug into an iPhone lightning adapter, also, it does not have an HDMI port. The new Echo Show 8 has a 13 MP camera that is built to keep you in frame! The camera has auto-framing that can zoom and tilt to always keep you in frame and centered for video calls. You can also look in when you're away with the built-in camera. The Echo Show 8 gives you control of compatible devices like cameras, lights, and more using the interactive display, your voice, or your motion. QuestionIf I buy an Echo Show 8 with Alexa & some Blink cameras, Can I take the Echo with Alexa to my job and I'll be on their wifi --will I be able to see the cameras at my home via my Echo Talk too? I have to monitor my husband who is recovering from a stroke.

- Answer Hello! I'm sorry to hear the news of your husbands stroke. To answer your question simply, Yes- you can install the Blink cameras and view from the Show 8. The new Show 8 gives you control of all compatible devices such as lights, cameras, you can even call and drop in on him and using your voice from work to control things at home. When you install the cameras you will connect through wifi and the Blink app through your phone- it is all very simple. That app on your phone will also allow you to view what is happening while you are on the go in real time just as the Show 8 will at work! I hope this helps, have a good day!

- Answer After set up you can verbally tell "Alexa volume up by 3" or whatever you need. Theres also volume buttons on top of the unit. You can do everything verbally.

- Answer Hello blackhorse! The Echo Show 8 is able to be paired with compatible Bluetooth speakers in order to play sound through them. You can find the Bluetooth settings for the Echo Show under Settings at the top of the on screen menu or you can find it through your Alexa app on your smartphone. - Answer If it’s a Bluetooth no you can’t pair the jbl direct from the setting but you can download any Bluetooth connect app from google store and after you can pair any Bluetooth devices. I did it and it’s perfect . Download the App, scan, pair , and connect, Good lock

- Answer Wifi is internet. If you mean ethernet cord, no you do not need an ethernet cord. If you have wifi internet in your home, then it will connect to the internet.
