You can connect any Amazon echo products with the sub. You will do this through the Alexa app with + sign and combine speaker option or create a theater sound if using a fire tv or stick. Note: any amazon speaker that is not compatible will not be highlighted in the available speakers.

First, make sure your Studio is not already in a speaker group. If it is, delete the speaker group and try setting up the Echo Sub again even if the group is just a home theatre setup with only the Studio. Next, make sure that the Sub and Studio are on the same WiFi. I've had some issues with devices seeing each other before because one of them defaulted to the 2.4Ghz network instead of the 5Ghz network in my home, for example.
