Hi Thanks for coming back to me with an answer, unfortunately it doesn't really help. I've tried resetting numerous times and still get the same thing happen. I tried to contact Amazon but they put the phone down on me this happened 2 times in a row. If you take the echo sub top off it reveals a Micro usb connection so this is where i thought the firmware could be updated from
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Ridbid! In order for the device to be utilized to its fullest as well as get it updated firmware, it would have to be connected to WiFi. The purple ring you are seeing is specifically calling out a WiFi related connectivity issue. You can attempt to factory reset it by pressing and holding the Action button for a full 30 second count. It will erase and put it into setup mode. Then use the Alexa smartphone app to reset it back up. If that still doesn't work then you may want to contact Amazon Customer service to troubleshoot further and to see if you have a defective device. Thanks so much for your question and I hope this helps! Have an amazing day!
