• Hello, Nonnie! The Fire HD 8 does not have a glare-resistant screen. If you are looking for a device that is great for reading in the sunlight, I would suggest looking into a Kindle devices. They are made specifically for reading, so they have a glare free screen and extended battery life. There are three different Kindle devices--the Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Oasis.
