• I use bluetooth regularly on mine to connect a keyboard. No activation fee, but bluetooth is off by default. Go into settings, wireless, and then turn bluetooth on. You're good to go!

• The specs indicate it has Bluetooth. Bluetooth "communicates" wireless to speakers systems /ear buds, etc. and other devices. No activation fee for bluetooth. If you are thinking of cellular phone service, that's different. this is not a cellular phone. Cell phones do have fees. totally different.
