    • Answer Hi Cornfused! I haven't gotten my Fire Max 11 yet but my first thought when I read this question was to check and see what my HD 10 weighed (just under 16oz). Looking at Amazon's website, it looks like the Fire Max 11 weighs 17.28oz. Sorry for the confusion, I'll make sure we let someone know to fix that error!

  • QuestionCan I run Navisworks Freedom or BIM 360 on this tablet? I would have the 3D model on the cloud and can download to a memory card. I currently have an Ipad which is maddeningly difficult to use with programs like this or Revizto 5

    • Answer Hi Fred! The Fire 11 Max runs Fire OS, an offshoot of Android, which as far as I can tell from their websites neither Navisworks Freedom or BIM 360 has been tested on. While the Fire Max 11 is great for entertainment on the go, I would say that it is best as a portable productivity enabler rather then a dedicated work station when it comes to specialized software like CAD tools. While you might be able to access these services successfully through web interfaces, I would check with the developers on if they did any testing on Fire OS first. Alternatively, if you have a dedicated workstation that allows remote access, you might see what remote desktop access programs are available and compatible with Fire OS. I don't know how well it would work for your use case, exactly, but I have had a great time accessing my desktop via the open source app Moonlight on Fire OS.     • Answer Hi JessM! I hadn't actually tried this yet, but yes you can absolutely buy books directly through the Kindle app on the Fire Max 11! When I went into one it even offered to let me redeem some points that I had towards the purchase. Kindle Unlimited options even make sure you know you're able to read them for free, so you don't have to worry about mistakenly purchasing a title you have access to if you're an Unlimited subscriber.     • Answer Hi Sooz, Your new Fire 11 Max will set up to your previous profile during the registration process.If you choose the set up as new Fire tablet you will be essentially starting fresh with no downloads on the device. If you restore, your games and other apps may need to be logged into from your new device, so your password and log in credentials will be needed for apps like Netflix, Hulu, and more.     • Answer Yes, you can using apps like Prime Video, Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, Max etc. If you are asking if you can use this as a stand-alone monitor, I haven’t tried it yet (you’ll need a usb c-to-hdmi/usb abc/ethernet/rbg cables to test or screen mirroring) which work well with ipad pros though.
