Great question. My wife and I got PlayStation Vue's best package with STARZ and Showtime , the Amazon Fire TV, HBO Now, Netflix and Hulu and paid $175 to set it all up (some people pay that monthly). Monthly, we pay $75. PlayStation Vue's makes it worth while. The key is that you get LIVE television with cloud DVR for 28 days with an on-screen guide. We watch CNN, CNBC, Nat Geo, MTV, MTV2, VH1, TBS, FX...and even ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. You can also stream on 5 machines simultaneously. This with the Amazon Fire TV, it IS cheaper than cable...much cheaper. I've heard buffering issues with the Stick so spring for the Fire TV. And it has Alexa...its pretty amazing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to keep your internet service plus what app you plan to use for streaming. If Netflix then it still cost you less than $10 a month. Different services have different prices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you get SlingTV app and HD antenna, you can cancel your cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.$99 a year for Amazon Prime and around $20-30 a month for Netflix and Hulu. That's it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This Thang cut my bill in half
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can get rid of cable if you have good reliable and fast internet. We use this device as well as Apple TV. The advantage of this one is we can get PS Vue with 100 channels, or pick a package with fewer. It was this device or a PS4. This is a lot cheaper than a PS4 and is running great. So yes it is possible. It depends on your ISP and the programming you want.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All of your cable bill can be eliminated! All depends on the shows/programs you want to watch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would cut my cable or satellite to the minimum package available
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Get the Fire TV instead it's a little faster than the stick, stick gets too hot after prolong use and slows down your stream, I cut the cord two months ago I'm saving close to $100 a month, there are more alternatives for live TV coming out now and if you have Amazon Prime you can watch more shows and movies for free
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The great thing about the fire tv is that, beyond initial purchase costs, it's free--assuming you have Internet connection and will keep it after cutting the cable/satellite cord. There are free and paid channels available. Also some channels require a cable subscription and login for use. If you've got friends or family who don't mind helping you with this and are paying for service, you can just use their account information. I went from paying $150 a month for satellite service to only paying my Internet connection (~$40). Hope this helps.
