• Hello AGIII, Yes the Fire TV Cube should work if placed in your cabinet. There is also an IR extender included in the box that you can place outside the cabinet if there's any problems with signal. Hope this helps!

• Yes it will work just fine that's how I have mine hooked up and I don't have any issues however I have it plugged directly into my modem / router if you're connecting the cube to the internet over a Wi-Fi connection to your modem / router then you may experience signal loss if your Cube is far from your router / modem
