It should work with any TV that has an HDMI input. If yours does not there are adapters that may interface with your inputs. As far as the remote actually controlling your projection TV? A definite, maybe! :-) If it does not 'know' your remote brand/model you can just use your existing remote for power, volume, and input selection, and the FireTV Cube's for streaming selections.
