“i've tried for three days to get the volume on my sound bar to work with the above firestick. I get sound on the soundbar on radio but not my tv with the firetick plugged into hdmi with or without the hdmi extender could you please lmk what to do...”

Disconnect it from TV like LG or Samsung or some other brands then re-connect to. And then, make sure you pick right brand of your TV on FireStick Max that you can see which one to connect FireStick’s remote to TV’s screen to control the volumes and on/off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don’t plug into a outlet!!!plug to the tv usb above or below the hdmi inputs. Go to settings and choose equipment control. Now manage equipment and advanced settings. Go to soundbar and then follow instructions.Make sure your soundbar is on. It will most likely detect your soundbar. If not, choose yours. Follow instructions. If you can’t find your hcmi outputs after connecting the soundbar, then just hit the forward button to skip it. If that doesn’t work go to controller and bluetooth devices and search your soundbar and link it that way
