“Question about recording streaming video I asked about recording Streaming Video because I am not always home when the shows (pool tournaments) are on live, and most are ppv and not available after the live stream. I don't mind paying the ppv charge, but would like to be able to see the matches. The shows are sometimes recorded by the companies that offered the ppv, but they don't re-show them. Some are available for purchase as DVDs afterward, but only those from the more famous players. Many times it is the earlier matches that I am interested in the most, & I only want to watch once - as I would have if I had been able to watch when it was on live. I am not trying to steal the shows, I would just like to be able to watch the matches from the tournaments, and I am not always home. Is there some kind of equipment I could purchase that would enable me to record live Streaming Video?”

I would highly recommend purchasing Slingbox. This device will let you stream all content from your cable/satellite provider through the internet using a smartphone, tablet or laptop (including recorded shows). Essentially you are watching your own television remotely. I have a Slingbox 350 and love to watch my recorded shows when I am traveling for work. Hope this helps.

Best Buy does not condone Kodi. Someone after their purchase of a Firestick needs to have their Firestick jailbroke with the program Kodi installed on their Amazon Firestick. Best choice I ever made, and I'm watching HD on every tv show I wanted to watch, even the tv series my Pop and I use to watch in the 1970's and 1980's Awesome stuff!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can't directly record with fire stick. You need a backend PVR such as mediaportal or nextpvr to record the content. You can then use various apps Kodi, Plex and others to watch on any device
