• Only advantage would be if you were to "jailbreak" the firestick then you could stream content that your smart tv Cannot.

• It depends what you want it for, although you can load apps to the tv they're some that require more memory to work

• It depends on the smart tv you have. Some Smart Tv's don't let you download different apps. You can only use what came preinstalled. Fire sticks are constantly receiving new apps.
