• Fire Stick can only connect to Internet using WiFi. So if you do not have access to any functional WiFi, you will require a WiFi router in order to use Amazon Fire Stick.

• you need something that puts out wifi and can connect this to the internet.. either a router or a friendly neighbor.:)

• it needs wifi to connect to anything on it like hulu or netflix or etc... and actually you need it for first time set up

• Internet is required, if you are asking if it needs to be hard wired then no, with this one you can only use Wifi
