“Do i need speakersfor my Fire Stick to work on my Sony Bravia TV? The TV is and LCD tv and over ten years old. I plugged the stick in and everything work but the audio. I can not change the video channel it is set to. My tv is not muted. The setting on the Fire stick is 2.0 and Doley plus off.”

• Works like an gaming system or dvd play plugged into your tv. Sound will go thru your tv speakers or whatever sound system you are currently using.

• You shouldn't need external speakers. I have several and they all play though the tv speakers with no problem.

• You do not need any speakers. My TV is older too, but as long as your TV supports and has an HDMI port, you should be fine.

• You do not need speakers to be able to use the fire stick ! It uses your tv speakers !

• It shouldn't matter. The fire stick runs through your HDMI port which carries audio. Try a different HDMI port and if possible another TV with HDMI. If you don't have another one, try taking it back to the store and have them test it in one of their TV's. Could be faulty.
