It is wireless for WIFI connections, but it has a power plug that will need to be connected to a power outlet in addition to being plugged into an HDMI port on your television for it to work.

The stick goes into a HDMI port on the tv-there’s a cord that needs to be plugged into an outlet. Very easy to set up if you have wifi.
