No, we don't have cable anymore. You do need a good internet connection! From there you set up the apps you're going to use (i.e. Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Sling, etc.) These are all subscription based. You'll be auto-charged once a month for each unless you cancel, which is easy to do online through your Amazon account.
