• Your bandwidth is determined by your DSL provider. The Fire Stick streams programs using your bandwidth but it won’t increase your bandwidth. Since Directv does not use your internet at all, your system may slow down if you switch to the Fire Stick and stream content.

• No it won't effect your bandwidth, it will just use up bandwidth and if it's dsl then that will be almost all of it.
