So far my ads have only been on the page when it is off and initially upon start up. You have the ability to choose what type of ads in the settings. I have only seen ads for books that are similar to what I like. They never interfere with reading.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the ads are tailored to Amazon only. No, they don't interfere with reading at all. They are usually run at the bottom edges of the page, or on the "sleep" screen when not in use. I find that sometimes they provide great gift ideas for those "hard to shop for" people that we all know. Totally worth the money saved, and don't bother me in the least. Not at all like Internet pop-ups, if that's what you're worried about. JM

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't pay attention too much to the ads. I only notice that they are there when I pick up my Kindle. I have never had an ad pop up while I was reading. They appear when the kindle goes into off mode (I think that's when the Kindle has been idle for 10 minutes)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, ads aren't intrusive at all. Quite the opposite; I find them useful and have ordered though them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The adds were not intrusive. I understand that this information is useful to better improve goods and services.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They're only book advertisements, and only display on the screen when in sleep mode. They don't come up while you're actively reading.
