Love it. I like the size. Only don't like the fact it is only 4g but hey it is ok for the price.

I chose the Amazon Kindle because it's easy to use, compact and lightweight.

I love to read and was determined to never make the move to an e-reader. I finally caved due to my son's rave reviews of his Kindle. I travel a lot on business and bought the Kindle right before a two week trip to South America. i absolutely LOVE it. It's lightweight and saves a ton of room in my luggage. Normally for a two week trip, I would pack six paperbacks. No more! The Kindle is easy to use.

This is my first Kindle. As a busy college student, I bought this item for leisure reading in my free time. I love its compact size and that I can download books very quickly and easily. I read from it between classes and on my commute to school. I like the fact that it is easy on the eyes and relatively easy to navigate. I love the dictionary! I would not otherwise take the time to look up words I don't know. The fact that there is no backlight is no problem at all. If there is enough light in the room to read a book, then you read from the kindle. Actually, I think the kindle might be easier to read in low light than some books due to its bright background. The lack of back-light will be a deal breaker if you like to read in the dark. The special offers are not intrusive to me and occasionally some of them spark my interest. Overall, I like it. It is great for what I use it for. I would definitely make this purchase again.

I love reading on a Kindle. I have about 600 books on mine, and it's become as much a part of me as my right arm. The only books I don't read on Kindle are ones I can't find for Kindle! This one is great; love the touch screen and just the perfect size and weight. Only quibble: the contrast could be a bit better. The screen is a little too dark in some light. Other than that, it's my perfect Kindle.

there is no back light so its not readable when you don't have lighting, but that actually make the screen very natural, does not get my eyes tired just like paper books. I wish it was a little lighter as it gets heavy when you read it for more than an hour or so.. but still lighter than most of hardcover books anyway... the battery life is amazing... it seems it never dies. Overall I am very satisfied.

We switched from BN Nook to Amazon Kindle due to fact that these are so lightweight and conveniently sized. The functionality is really impressive, we have had no issues with this at all and would definitely recommend the Kindle vs BN Nook due to its convenience and the easiness it is to use. In addition the battery life is so much better.

I used to have a Nook. I liked it, but didn't love it. The Kindle though, I love it. The screen is amazing for any reading situation, inside or outside, and the price of Kindle books is way better than Barnes and Nobel. I picked up a couple books I really wanted recently for $2 or $3 bucks. An awesome piece of technology and you cant beat the prices. I highly recommend it!

Touch screen works really well. Lightweight and portable with very long battery life. I love this kindle!

I bought my 10 and 11 year old children each one of these readers for Christmas. It has been a fantastic way to get them to read. The reader is small enough for them to place in their backpacks and take to school. Very easy to use and easy to read. Buying books for the reader is also much less expensive than buying hard cover or paperback books! Love it!

This kindle is pretty standard in its function, it allows you to browse books, but unlike an iPad it is not for surfing the internet, which is a good thing for those who tend to get easily side tracked. It is also really lightweight which is great for traveling. Since it does have a white backlight like computers or your phone, it won't hurt your eyes.

My old kindle was coming apart. This one has an improved screen and no real keyboard taking up space (I never used it). A lot of improvements on the operation that makes it easier to navigate. Overall a good upgrade.

This replaced my original Kindle that finally gave up the ghost. It was so easy to transfer all the material from my old one and love that it is,lighter and smaller than my first one.

I read far more than most people and while I was a difficult sell initially to buy a kindle, I’ve since came to the conclusion that it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Incredibly light and easy to prop up at night for reading in bed and easy to stick in my purse to take with me everywhere

So far this has been a great little reader. Good size for reading on. I wouldn't want to go any smaller. The screen is unreal how clear it is even in the sun. Very easy on the eyes to read on. I used to use my phone or tablet to read but now I use this little guy and it is so much nicer!

I love the Kindle! It lets me read books anywhere at all! I can download books any time I want, try out samples, and then all of my books are with me where ever I go! It's easy to read, even in bright sunlight, and you can change the font size to what suits you.

I was skeptical about electronic book in the past. But very pleased with this model. Convenient, simple. It accepts Russian language. I download books mainly in Russian. Eyes never get tired, no discomfort. I have it only for couple months, hopefully the device has a long life.
