Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The new Kindle has to be registered but as soon as you fire it up the first time, it takes you through the steps. You do need a WiFi connection to register it but it's a fast and very easy process. I had no problems with the initial registration with any of my Kindles. If you run into any trouble, contact Kindle Support at Amazon.com. They will talk you through it with no problem.
