Paperwhite has a backlight so you can read in the dark. The other does not. I just clip a booklight to the corner though and it works great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cheaper one has advertisements . It also does not have paper white pages, but the cheaper has the usual pages. If you have had a kindle and are used to the older pages, you will be fine. I actually prefer the standard pages.
