“Does this model require a specific ac adapter? I bought this a week ago and can't get it to charge with the included cord using my phone wall charger adapter.”

NO special adapter needed. 2 were purchased. each charged on our corresponding phone chargers, 1 an android and the other was an I phone. Both charged fully. without problems
