You can create "Collections" on your Kindle which you could have as the different categories you mentioned. From the Home and Library Tool Bar tap on the three dots on the right side of the screen near the shopping cart and at the bottom of the drop down menu that appears should be a selection "Create a Collection".

Please try again later.Not really unless they’ve added something I don’t know about however, if you like a particular series, the whole series is under the title of number 1 so you don’t have to page thru all books in your library. You can also hide titles of books you’ve read but you either have to scroll through all the glimpse of next in series, acknowledgements etc.. for it tto recognize as read or you can hit menu and select mark as read. If you purchase a book and want to free up memory, you can remove from library buy backing up on computer, or if purchased on Amazon, They will have record of purchase to load back on. I prefer to back up on hard drive or memory card instead just because I don’t like to trust Amazon server won’t one day crash.
