“I just received the 4g paperwhite..when I touch the screen it blinks a dark and light flash show..Is this normal?? can it be fixed? This is my first amazon tablet..I've always used a Nook.”

That is completely normal. I think it does it incase you accidentally tap the screen and the page changes you don't spend two minutes looking for the sentence you were just on.
