    • Answer Hello Mary, Yes you can Highlight and make notes on a Kindle Paperwhite. When you have a selected book open, you are able to tap the screen and a prompt will come up. If you would like to highlight more than a word, you can tap and drag your finger across the text you would like to highlight or notate. Once you release your finger from the screen, a box will appear asking if you would like to "Highlight, Note, Share, Search, or More" to the selected text. I hope this helps!

To change the background color on a Kindle Paperwhite from white to black, you can enable dark mode: -Open the control panel by swiping down from the top of the screen or tapping the down arrow -Tap Dark Mode in the top right corner to turn it on You can also invert the black and white colors on a Kindle by going to Settings, then Accessibility, and then Invert Black and White.   • QuestionColored highlights are available in Kindle apps and on the Kindle Colorsoft. Does this monochrome device give you the option of selecting highlight color even though it will not be visible on this device (for visibility when opened elsewhere?)

Also your Kindle to withstand exposure to water in many popular places to read. However, your Kindle is not intended for underwater use and may experience temporary effects from exposure to water.   • QuestionI love that kindle offers dictionaries in a lot of languages but how do you delete the ones in languages you don’t use ?

    • Answer Hi! To delete dictionaries in languages you don't use on your Kindle Paperwhite, you can remove them from your device's storage. This won't remove them from your Kindle's library, but it will free up space on the device. Go to your settings > Device options > Storage management > Manual removal > Books> Select Dictionaries > tap "remove". I hope this answers your question!

To remove lockscreen ads (also known as "Special Offers") from your Kindle, you can make a one-time payment through your Amazon account's "Manage Your Content and Devices" section, permanently removing ads from your device's lock screen and home screen.
