• I don’t believe the device is rated for outdoor use. If it was somehow placed in a weatherproof environment it might work under the porch.

• Hello Matt The Smart plug is for indoor use only. There are other outdoor alternatives within Smart home that I'm certain can help with what you are looking to accomplish just not with this device. I hope this helps, have a great day!
