This should work unless you have brick, concrete or steel walls.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have ours downstairs, but our Comcast modem wouldn't get a signal in the next room, but with this extender we can not only get the signal in the next room, but in my mother-in-law bedroom across the alley

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, This should increase your signal in the second level better than what you have right now but a better solution would be to run an Ethernet cable to that level and install an access point like the AP20000G.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you can't (or don't wan to) run wires to other locations these devices are an excellent option. Out situation was exactly the same as yours. We now have strong WIFI throughout the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I think this can probably meet your needs. You'll want to place the extender as close as possible (directly underneath would be good) to where the router is, but on the floor where you want to improve signal. For us, it extends this signal in a basement, but without the interference of the intervening floor it is able to extend it the entire range of the basement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does work but also depends on the sq footage of your place. This one is for smaller homes or apartments. There are stronger boosters that Amped makes if you have a large home. Best Buy carries a ton.
