• i have a thinner case on my iphone 8, so that doesnt answer your question, but yes mine does have a case on it.

• I have one of the Otter Box Defenders (biggest case they have) on my iPhone and it works perfectly with the wireless charging. I can’t speak for the Galaxy specifically, though as long as it supports wireless charging, the results should be the same.
