I have used a five gallon bucket from Home Depot before and just cut a hole in the lid to keep the water from evaporating too much I cooked 15 steaks in the bucket at one time with no problem at all .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I use a 16 Qt pot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit can heat and move up to 4 gallons of water but you don’t have to use that much water every time. The trick is in selecting the right size and shape container. As long as the water level in the container is above the min line of the the nano, the unit will stay on and keep cooking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used it in a 24 quart ice chest. If the container loses too much heat it won’t be able to keep up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.AS LONG AS it fits over the rim. If it's a thick earthenware pot it might not fit. A metal pot will generally work fine. TIP: Start with water not too far from the temp you'll be cooking at - it will save you significant heat-up time! Always start just a little UNDER not OVER the needed temp - it's a heater, not a water cooler! I'm attaching a pic of the 11.5-quart pot I happily use. If the walls aren't a lot thicker than this one yours should work just fine.
