“I just purchased this Monitor, Does it have to be plugged into an electrical outlet or does the laptop run it? How do I make it brighter? The manual I got in the box does not go into any detail. Also I did not get a charge block with it, is this normal?”

This monitor model, E1659WFU comes with a USB Y-cable and features plug and play feature of your computer. Make sure that both USB cables are connected to the computer's USB ports to provide enough power. There are no settings to adjust brightness for this model.
