Can it be used for desktops? Or only laptops null

As long as the desktop has an available USB port, I don't see why it shouldn't work. I'm using an HP laptop, so I don't have any experience with using it with a desktop, but given the ease of use - plug it in the USB port, and the system immediately recognized it - I can't imagine it not working with a desktop.
