You may be able to get it working by updating all the drivers. It also depends on which version of Windows you are using. I ultimately was able to get my monitor working by applying an optional Windows 7 monitor driver update AND the latest DisplayLink software (Sep 21, 2017 version). I finally got things working with both applied. If Best Buy allows the link, you can go to this page for drivers. http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/windows
