Not entirely sure I have plugged in storage devices to my phone via USB c. But this device needs two USB plugs I'm not sure if the phone can output enough power to turn on the device. The only way to check would be to get a USBC mail plug with a female USB a female and a USB splitter. Both plug for the monitor going to the splitter the splitter goes into the female end of the usba and the USB c plugs into the phone.again not sure if the phone will have enough power to turn up the device on.
