• If it doesn't work right out of the box, verify you have DisplayLink installed. It should show up as a device under in Hardware Manager under display devices. My mother-in-law already had this monitor for a couple of years and it was plug-n-play on her old Windows 7 machine, but her newer Windows 10 Thinkpad was not compatible with it until DisplayLink was installed.

• It was plug and play for my Windows 10 laptop. Worked straight out of the box.
