“I just moved and the movers lost the power adapter for my AOC monitor of this style\model. I bought a replacement that should be for this monitor. I plugged the adapter in, the power 'button\membrane' does not turn on. Troubleshooting advice??”

• The button is not on the face of the power membrane, but is slightly beneath and back toward the back of the schreen. Put your finger on the edge and work back you will feel it. My older AOC has it on the membrane.

• If I were you, I would try taking it back to best buy, and asking them about it, it should normally work with any 3rd party adapter that is the same. I'm not exactly sure why it isn't working, it may be the adapter itself not working, not the monitor.
