There are no speakers on this monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you will need headphones or a small powered speaker set to take advantage of the built in jack. Note that the sound chip in your macbook pro will have to be able to output sound over DisplayPort or HDMI for it to work.
