Thank you for the inquiry. There would be a very short transfer time from when the UPS changes from utility to battery. However this is only around 6-8 milliseconds so it shouldn't affect the DSL modem. This unit would work well for power fluctuations and power restarts to keep your modem online during the power event.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it provides uninterrupted power. We were able to run our modem and router for over two hours during a long outage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely. All input power is continuously enhanced by the battery unit. In practice, the connected devices are not running off AC but battery power at all times so there is no "response time" to a power failure - it's instant. UPS units are different than surge protectors/suppressors which only respond to over-voltage conditions. UPS means "Uninterruptable Power Supply" and is true as long as there is charge left in the battery. See this runtime chart for expected uptime in the event of a power outage under various loads: https://www.apc.com/products/runtime_for_extendedruntime.cfm?upsfamily=29&ISOCountryCode=us
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it prevents interruptions of all types. It.filters out spikes and most importantly dips in power. Once installed, you should no longer experience power interruptions to your DSL modem/router. I use my UPS for my cable modem, router and digital phone modem and have enjoyed clean power for years without an interruption.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no loss of power when the source is removed, the supplied software will warn you that within the selected battery operating time it will turn of your computer automatically. Other devices plugged into the battery backup outlets will not see an immediate loss of power but when the battery supply is expended they will fail.
