Q: Questionback up battery for tvi have a new 55" smart tv - & directv box - looking to protect
Asked by Drew.
- A:Answer Drew, Thank you for your inquiry. The unit you are looking at is rated at 700VA. In order to properly back up equipment without overloading the unit you need to stay below the VA and wattage values of the UPS. If you compare these wattage/Va values to the wattage/VA of your equipment, you will need the equipment to be lower than the UPS quantities. If this all works out like that then you are purchasing the correct unit. Thank You,

Q: QuestionI have a back-up generator for my office, however when power goes out and switches to the generator, my computer turns off and won't turn back.So I can not access my computer remotely, will this keep the computer on without shutting down?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, assuming two important things. 1. The demand you are putting on the unit. The greater the demand, the shorter the duration. 2. Your back-up generator starts up within a couple of minutes. Back-up generators are designed to start after a short delay, some are variable and are set for longer delays. Check your delay time and be sure it is set to start the generator before your UPS dies.
